Franck Laigneau

Designers/
  • Anthroposophic Furniture

For more than ten years, Franck Laigneau has specialized in Jugendstil and artists’ colonies at the turn of the twentieth century, particulary from Germany, Scandinavia and Finland.

As a member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires, Franck Laigneau has participated in several international art fairs where he has built a clientele of connoisseurs, including institutions such as the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the National Museum of Stockholm.

For Design Miami/ Basel, in honor of the Goetheanum’s proximity in Dornarch, Franck Laigneau delved further into his period by researching Anthroposophical style furniture issued from the Jugendstil movement. The set of furniture here exhibited is, by its organic and angular forms, unique. The lightness of the birch material used is strongly amplified and offers to all those who experience it a feeling of wellness. By this emotional dimension, it differs from Czech Cubism.
